FD3S Rx-7 4″ Stainless exhaust system- Metal Sculpt

The Metal Sculpt FD3S exhaust system has been developed specifically for RX-7 owners wanting a complete, no-compromise solution. Designed alongside our twin-scroll turbo manifold, the entire system has been engineered to maximise performance, serviceability and ground clearance while maintaining OEM-like fitment.

Every exhaust system is manufactured in-house at our Capalaba workshop using dedicated production jigs to ensure consistent fitment and repeatable quality. The result is a system that installs correctly every time without the compromises commonly found in universal or modified exhaust systems.

All sections are fabricated from premium mandrel-bent stainless steel tubing with CNC laser-cut straight sections for optimal flow and weld consistency. The system features a full 4-inch downpipe for maximum turbine outlet capacity before transitioning into a 3.5-inch main exhaust. Twin 1.5-inch wastegate recirculation pipes merge smoothly into the downpipe through a 316L stainless 3D-printed collector, providing excellent flow while maintaining a quiet, refined exhaust note during normal driving.

For higher-powered applications, an optional AES Racing Mufflers bypass valve can be integrated into the mid-pipe. This allows the exhaust to operate quietly during normal street driving while providing a substantially less restrictive exhaust path when required. The valve can be controlled using the supplied cabin switch or configured through most aftermarket ECUs based on boost pressure, engine speed, throttle position or any programmable output.

Notes:

• The optional AES Racing Mufflers bypass valve cannot be fitted in conjunction with the optional 100 CPI race catalytic converter due to packaging constraints within the mid-pipe
• Systems are supplied with all required V-band clamps and hardware where applicable
• Exhaust systems are manufactured to order. Typical lead time varies depending on current production workload, updates will be sent at all points during production
• Due to the hand-fabricated nature of the product, minor variations in weld colour and heat tint are normal and do not affect fitment or performance
• For international and long-distance domestic orders, the rear section is supplied with an integrated slip joint. This reduces the packaged length to under 1.2 metres, significantly reducing shipping costs while having no effect on fitment or performance
