Developed and manufactured in-house by Metal Sculpt, these stainless steel headers are designed as a premium bolt-on header solution for naturally aspirated first-generation Mazda RX-7s. Each set is fabricated entirely from 304 stainless steel, they feature a twin 2″ primary layout with smooth mandrel-bend geometry, twin stainless flex joints and V-band outlets. Each set is TIG welded and back-purged during production for clean internal weld quality and consistent stainless fabrication.
A heavy-duty 12mm stainless steel engine flange provides a stable mounting surface at the engine. After fabrication, every completed header assembly is professionally surfaced to ensure the flange is flat before installation. The headers can be built to suit cars running 12A and 13B engines.
Unlike a one-off fabricated header, every Metal Sculpt header set is produced using a dedicated workshop jig developed from the original test-fitted system. This allows repeatable engine position, outlet location and clearance while retaining the construction quality of a hand-fabricated stainless exhaust.
Features:
- Full 304 stainless steel construction
- Twin 2-inch V-band header outlets (outlet weld flanges included)

- Designed and manufactured in-house by Metal Sculpt in Australia
The V-band outlets and included 2″ weld flanges make the headers particularly suitable for clients building custom downstream exhausts, while also allowing direct integration with the Metal Sculpt complete FB / SA22C RX-7 exhaust system.
Sensor Options
Sensor provisions can be incorporated into each runner during manufacturing. Dual O2 sensor bungs and dual K-Type EGT sensor bungs are available, and are a great option for measuring fuel balance and EGT between the rotor housings. Capable ECU’s can trim this balance to achieve an excellent tune.
Ceramic Coating
Headers can also be supplied with high-temperature ceramic coating in black or polished silver. Coating is completed after fabrication and flange surfacing so the finished header is ready for installation when supplied.
Fitment
Designed for naturally aspirated Mazda FB / SA22C RX-7 applications. Select the appropriate 12A or 13B engine configuration when ordering. Please contact Metal Sculpt before ordering if your vehicle uses non-standard engine positioning, engine mounts or other modifications that may affect exhaust clearance.
Manufacturing Lead Time
These headers are manufactured to order. Typical lead time is approximately 2–4 weeks, depending on current production workload and selected coating options.
